Officials say blaze at car wash was arson

Authorities say a fire at an Augusta car wash Friday appears to be the result of arson.

While checking the area about 5 p.m. Friday, Richmond County sheriff's deputies noticed that the Walker Car Wash in the 1600 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard had been set ablaze, according to a sheriff's office report. The officers contacted the Richmond County Fire Department, and investigators determined someone had used gasoline to start the fire.

A car wash consists of stone and water. What kind of government school graduate would try to burn that down?

Two men robbed a pizza delivery man, but four were arrested. Good work Aiken County investigators.

I believe that this particular one was more of a wooden building. I want to know what brave [filtered word] would spend time at someone home stealing the wiring? You would have to know that the owners would be away for a period of time.

I'm just curious. Why would someone have "coils of steel, aluminum and copper" worth $11,500 at his home?
