WESLEY, Ga. - Mrs. LaVay Hope Lawson, age 78, of Wesley Ga., died Thursday afternoon at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. Mrs. Lawson was born in Emanuel County and had live here all of her life. She was a supervisor for Kellars, and a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home, with Reverend D.R. Parker and M.L. Barber officiating. Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Albert Hall, Hal Hall, James Brown, Joe Nelson, Dakota Blount, Gene Stewart, Jay Lawson, and Jim Curry. She is survived by: Her Husband: George Lawson of Wesley; A daughter: Bobby George Josey of Wesley; A brother: Jack Hall (Nell) of Swainsboro; A sister: Cherrie Strickland of Soperton, Ga.; A sister-in-law: Eloise Hall of Swainsboro; 2 granddaughters: Melinda Loraine Blount of Swainsboro; Joan Marie McDonald of Swainsboro; 4 great grandchildren: Joanna L. Thornton of Swainsboro, John R. Thornton of Twin City, Jessica L. Blount of Swainsboro, Dakota B. Blount of Swainsboro; Several Nieces and Nephews.
