Given scholarships

The following Augusta students have been awarded 2008 Charter Scholarships by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Georgia, Athens:

Katherine Boutwell, Raymond Brady, Michael Davis, Yao Kang, Marjorie McElreath, Lindsay Nyhoff and Emily Price .

Angela Bratton , a professor at Augusta State University, gave a presentation on Teenage Pregnancy in Ghana: Public Opinion, Policy Makers and Sex Education at the 28th annual Christian Scholars' Conference at Lipscomb University, Nashville, Tenn.

On GSU dean's list

Amanda Colpetzer , of Augusta, has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Georgia Southern University, Statesboro.

Makes merit list

Jane Dennis-King , of Augusta, daughter of Paul Gregory King and Florence Adelle Dennis, has been named to the merit list for the spring semester at Oxford (Ga.) College.

Oxford honors list

The following students have been named to the honor list for the spring semester at Oxford (Ga.) College:

Rebecca Bryson, Priya Gulati, Caitlin Keesee and Christopher Jackson, of Augusta; and Ashley Morrow, daughter of Rochelle Renee Morrow, of Augusta.

Emory dean's list

Augustans Leigh Clemmons and Hilary Prichard have been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Emory College, Atlanta.
