McCain economic plan is flawed
Letter to the Editor

What are they thinking?

Listening to John McCain put forth his economic plan for the future is a little disheartening. He says that by investing our tax money in small business, our country will regain its financial security. It sounds good -- until you think about it.

A business is created to address a market. Whether it's medical services, widgets or tattoos, this business' success is dependent on people having money to buy the product that the business provides.

The notion that these businesses will provide employment to pull us out of this recession is flawed, as it will employ far fewer people than are required for a customer base needed to support that business.

Without the consumer being able to buy these products, our tax dollars are just given away, and to the ones who need the support the least.
