AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Geneva Black Washington, of First Street, entered into rest July 18, 2008 at the Medical College of Georgia. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Green officiating. Interment will be in Walker Memorial Park. Mrs. Washington, a native of Washington County, Ga., retired from the Medical College of Georgia as a Sterilization Technician. She was a member of Moses Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the senior mission and food ministry. Survivors include a son, Bruce E. Henley; his fiance, Suprina Denson, Augusta; a daughter, Carolyn (Heyward, Jr.) Williams, Augusta; a brother, Harold (Barbara) Black, Centerhall, Pa.; two sisters, Mary L. Black, Augusta and Pearlie Calloway, Atlantic City, N.J.; five grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Wade and Lottie Black, Augusta and Barbara (Clifford) Utley, Washington, D.C.; a host of other relatives and friends.
