The Rev. Jesse Jackson speaks out, but oops! No one was supposed to hear that.
The Rev. Jackson whispers to a Fox News guest, "See, Barack been, um, talking down to black people on his faith based ... I wanna cut his ---- off." Can you imagine if anyone else, say Don Imus or Rush Linbaugh, said the above about Barack Obama? Then the Rev. Jackson would be the first, or second person, (the other being the Rev. Al Sharpton) who would be all over their "racist" comments, and they would be working to get the radio host fired or defamed.
But since it was Jesse, he believes because he apologized right away that everything is OK. It shouldn't be! After all, his last remarks could have come right from one of the "R-rated" rap songs -- the very thing Bill Cosby is tired of hearing from blacks toward other blacks: that kind of derogatory talk.
It is disturbing (as his own son alluded to) that those words came from a black minister about our -- all of us in the United States -- black presidential candidate. Maybe it's time the Rev. Jackson kept his mouth shut and his views to himself. The media could help by keeping him off the air! I doubt Obama has sought his counsel in anything, especially anything faith-based.

This is just another example of the white man trying to keep the black man down. It's a black thing, you wouldn't understand. These words mean something different to a black person then the do to a white person. Can't we all just get along?
You are right DeborahElliott2 but what do you suggest we do kill Jesse Jackson? I'm surprised with all the promiscuity in the black community there is time for anything else. A pediatrician friend of mine was just commenting on another 14 year old "eat up with gonorrhea". My retort "14 somebody needs to be arrested". He returns no it is very common to see STD in 12-16 year olds black girls, and that culturally it is not seen as pedophilia. You could have blown me over with a feather. Black AIDS. org published an article stating: "Federal health researchers said this week that a whopping half of African American teenage girls have a sexually transmitted infection." Seems that politics is the least of the black communities problems.
what is all the fuss about? does anyone still not understand that hate speech is race specific, not word specific? jackson could call obama just about any name in the book and it would be okay - that is the standard that our society has accepted for years now. why are we suddenly acting as if the n-word isn't allowed for blacks? this is quite reminiscent of the "whites only" jim crow era except in reverse.
Interesting posit bone and not without merit the more I think about it. My bet, although I use a black owned site, I will be beat up for mentioning the STD problem because only blacks can discuss and I would qualify as a racist for mentioning it. We will see. I was reading about Obama and I made this observation: "Interestingly Obama's mom, Ann Dunham ,graduated from high school in 1960 (so that would be Summer of 60')in Washington State then apparently moved to Hawaii and married Barack Obama Sr. in Feb of 1961 which would have been less than a year. Obama was born Aug of 61' six months after they were married, which means she was pregnant when they got married as she was three months pregnant. So basically within six months of living in Hawaii she got knocked up". Nothing prejudicial about looking at a person's life and I was thinking how taboo it was in the 60's to marry a black man or teenage pregnancy. Further I commented since segragation was the norm then that people of that era would have called her "white trash". I know I had a friend in high school whose parents disowned her for just dating a black man. Very sad but that was the era. Interestingly Obama Sr father also didn't want his son to marry a white women because "He didn't want the Obama blood sullied by a white woman". Thankfully things have changed from then but not much. Of course these comments aren't politically correct and I will be lambasted for dishonoring the Obama name. Biz don't play dat.
Personally I don't think man can end the political and racial divide in our country so I often pray for God to heal our country. It is said that God always answers prayers so I'm optimistic.
This is news worthy? Lady get a life. No one I know gives a dang one way or the other about Jessie Jackson.
Jesse Jackson is nothing but a well dressed crook who has escalated racial issues in order to benefit himself and only himself.
jessie jackson is not a hypocrite, he is a racist idiot!
Pot and Kettle.
Lest we forget, JJ was also mentoring Bill Clinton during the Lewinski scandal all the while "agonizing" over his own "love" child. He is the epitome of hypocracy! A reverend no less......
You put the pot in the kettle and you smoke it all up! Sung to the tune of Lime in the Coconut. Kinda catchy. hee, hee, hee. Maybe it would help-we can call it medical marijuana.
hypocrite.HaHaHaHaHaHaHa.

hamer, how are those big river sucker lips doing? Get all the hooks out?
hahahahaha. George Carlin had nothing on you. Man you are so funny.
Black progress is limited by two factors. 1. Their lack of love for each other 2. Their lack of knowing how much God loves them and wants a relationship with them through His son Jesus Christ. This is also becoming a growing problem in the white race but is critical in the black race as their total number is smaller. For unity and progress those two factors must be strong. For anyone; black or white, those two items will turn your life around immediately.
Leave it to an Augustan to think this problem can be solved solely by prayer. FYI - There are hundreds of churches in the African American communities too. Or must they attend your church to really be saved? This is not an issue of religion and will not be solved solely through religious interventions. No matter the church, religion or even lack thereof - this problem affects all of us and will require all of our efforts, our children's efforts and even grandchildren's effort to effect change.
I have lived with black people since I started college (3 black roommates) so I feel I have more credibility than most white people when speaking about black people. We're all the same. We all eat the same foods, buy the same products, watch the same shows, etc. My black roommates (all three) would say the race card is a joke, and they are ashamed of black people who blame their problems on race. All three successful: one a teacher (with a master's), one a minister, one an engineer. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are embarrassments to the black race and they do not reflect the way most black people I know think.
Martinez ;I didn't say one word about religion or attending church. Standing in my garage won't make me a car. A relationship with Jesus Christ is the one and only factor needed to fix or walk through any problem. "Believe and receive or doubt and do without". Everyone living in a relationship with Christ will agree.
CTROY, I agree with you post except for the Black Race part. IMHO neither one of them represents the Black or the majority of any race. Just like the Jim Jones, Pat Robinson or Jim Bakers of the world, they have their followers, for whatever reasons. Personally. they have valid points at times, however they also tend to get involved where, IMHO they are not needed.
Well crackertroy that is the point. There is only one race-the human race. And I disagree with Martinez because man has been dealing with this problem to no avail-churches have nothing to do with-it has to do with changing hearts, which generally God is a lot better at. One of my daughters roommates in college was black and they adored each other. Our youth is our hope for the future. You don't have the baggage of segregation, integration, racial riots, KKK, Black Panthers, etc., and just hate. Sad commentary about our history but I don't believe it should define us. My mother in her eighties still believes that a "black man will never be elected president". You can't reason with her-she still doesn't trust the japanese either. Her children were different, and my children are still different and better than I. And hopefully their children will say "yeah that was a problem back in the ole days".
Great post Bizarro.
If you are ever in an emergency situation, like a flood or huricane, you will know why Pat Robertson is so highly respected. His organization's operation blessing trucks are usually moving in before the red cross and others can get there. They are a first class group of people.
There are two races; God said those who follow him are a chosen race and then there is everyone else. A relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ is the dividing line in all things for all time and nothing anyone says can change that. There is level ground at the base of the cross.
Bizzaro, to get rid of it, I would think we need to put it down and ignore those who keep this offensive behavior. In this way, we won't infect ourselves with this kind of hate, and those who keep doing it will end up rejected cause there will be no company left. Since Jackson apologized, and still didn't apologize to those he truly offended, don't listen to him. Clearly, he is NOT remorseful in his ways. But if we support his church, his businesses, and such, what are we truly telling him? "Oh that's ok, we can take it"? Heaven forbid! Now, if he wants to set it right, then let him take a fine and give it to a charity or something, but at least he repents and then the people can see that he is truly sorry. Until then, words don't go away and we will only be more divided.
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Get your knife, Barack: Jesse is ready to become a eunich.
just another ignorant jackleg preacher.
The ones who want to ignore Jesse now adored him before BO came along. Is anyone surprised. The people have a new messiah, they don't need JJ. (it's a cultural thang.....
