Way to go Augusta....Who needs the trees anyway? You, the powers that be, in Augusta wonder why Augusta has become one of the ugliest cities in the U.S. today....Just take a look around..What the trees getting in the way of motorists again? Maybe you think all that asphalt will clean the air..."-(

www.hongkongaugustaga.org web site addresses the trees and the expressway noise problem.

Let's see, the tree in the picture appears to be in the vicinity of 100 years old. Let's destroy that tree to build a road that will benefit only a few (Columbia County, do they vote here?), to support a dinosaur, the internal combustion engine powered automobile.
Sadly this is repeated hundreds of times a day across the country. All road construction projects shoud be suspended until we can figure out what will power our next mode of transportation. This would waste less money and trees. Maybe Columbia County should take the bus to work.
