Georgia State Trooper Stan White takes a handful of money out of Donald Bernard Kelly's pocket after Mr. Kelly was taken into custody.

Investigator Sgt. Ken Rogers of the Richmond County Sheriff's Office identified the suspect as Donald Bernard Kelly, 42, of the 300 block of Victoria Drive in Ellenwood -- an Atlanta suburb.

He was taken into custody without incident at 10:45 a.m. by a number of state troopers from the Georgia State Patrol post in Thomson, according to Trooper Lt. David Cody.

Mr. Kelly was taken back to Richmond County, where he was charged with felony robbery, according to investigators.

He is suspected of robbing the Wachovia Bank at 3535 Wheeler Road in Richmond County. Sgt. Rogers said a man walked into the bank, presented a note and took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing in a blue Ford Taurus. A weapon was not used, authorities said.

Most of the money was recovered with the suspect's capture, police said.

A customer spotted the robbery suspect coming out of the bank with his hands and pockets full of cash and decided to pursue him when he drove away, investigators said.

These "out of town" perps should keep out of town. Come here and you will go to jail....

stillamazed

He had just gotten out of jail after an 11 year sentence for bank robbery. He picked the wrong place to try it again and good job to the gentleman who spotted him and followed him. The bank should give him a big reward.........

Criminals may run, but they cannot hide. If you have ever been a crime victim, you can appreciate how this criminal was apprehended.

Hey cricketflea, you said they can catch the "Out of Town" perps, but I guess they do not do so good on the local's perps right.

Redibear

This guy looks stupid, he did not think about his actions. Maybe Georgia will give him some hard chain gang work to do. Does anyone know what state he served time in?

No, I disagree, Keenen Ivory Wayans looks nothing like this stupid fool.

Redibear, did you google Keenen Ivory Wayans? I just checked again, this guy has a twin.
