U.S. HOUSE, 5TH DISTRICT:

Incumbent John Lewis fought off his first Democratic primary challengers in more than 15 years.

The Rev. Markel Hutchins and state Rep. "Able" Mable Thomas challenged Mr. Lewis, 68, an icon of the civil rights movement who has represented the 5th District since 1987. Mr. Lewis has no Republican opponent in November.

U.S. HOUSE, 8TH DISTRICT:

Democratic incumbent Rep. Jim Marshall beat challenger Robert Nowak. Mr. Marshall will face Republican Rick Goddard, who ran unopposed.

U.S. HOUSE, 13TH DISTRICT:

Late Tuesday, incumbent David Scott held a lead over challenger Donzella James in a Democratic contest in west Atlanta.
