AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Olden "Pop" Evans, Jr., of Webster Drive, entered into rest on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Clair Baptist Church, Burke County, with Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Mr. Evans was a native of Burke County. Survivors are one daughter, Melissa Evans, Waynesboro, Ga.; six sisters, Earnestine Evans, Keysville, Ga., Mildred Evans, Newark, N.J., Mary Ann (Arthur) Harris, Teresa Brown, Joann (Roger, III) Latimore, Augusta, Darlene Evans, Greensboro, N.C.; five brothers, Thomas (Renee) Evans, Brooklyn, N.Y., Willie Evans, Colorado, Charlie Evans, Newark, N.J., Ronald Evans, Keysville, Ga., Phillip Evans, Augusta; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
