Vote early and vote often.
Be prepared.
That's the message for today's Georgia primary from Lynn Bailey, the executive director of the Richmond County Board of Elections.
For many, it's been a long time since they voted, and some might not even be registered. Others might not be sure where their polling place is or how to get there. Or their polling place might have changed, she said.
She suggests going to the Board of Elections Web site at augustaga.gov.
"You can look yourself up by name by entering in your name, your date of birth and the county you live in," she said. "It will tell you whether you're registered. It will tell you where to vote, give you driving directions of how to get there, your district assignments."
All 52 polling places and 72 precincts will be open today from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Mrs. Bailey expects a 25 percent turnout from the 95,000 people registered to vote in Richmond County, and she predicts no long lines.

Then you can choose options to answer voting questions, including registration, polling places and how to register.

When you find your precinct, you may continue to use the Web sites to see a sample of the ballot you will find today at your precinct.
This is a party primary. You may vote for Republicans or Democrats, but not both.
AT THE POLLS
- Polls open at 7 a.m., close at 7 p.m.
- Voters must present a valid photo ID. Acceptable forms include a Georgia driver's license, military ID, U.S. passport, government employee ID, tribal photo ID.
- The deadline to register to vote in the primary was June 16.
