HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mrs. Marilyn "Lynn" Ward, age 72, formerly of Waynesboro, GA, left her tabernacle of clay and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 8, 2008. Mrs. Ward was a member of Botsford Baptist Church. She was devoted wife, mother grandmother, sister and friend and she will be missed by all whose lives she influenced. She is survived by her husband, C. C. Ward of Hephzibah, GA; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Diane Lapsley; four sisters Janet Randolph, Florida, Lorene Matsen, North Carolina, Doris Wood, Florida, and Marjory "Marji" Tolles, California; three grandchildren Jennifer Lapsley, Belvedere, SC, Timothy (Brook) Lapsley, Augusta, GA and Kyle Lapsley, Augusta, GA; two great-grandchildren David Carl Lapsley and Tyler Gage Lapsley and a number of nieces, nephews and special friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning, July 12, 2008, from 9-10 AM at Robertson's Heritage Chapel, 220 East 6th St., Waynesboro, GA. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Robertson's. Interment will follow at the Botsford Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Self, Ernest Quick, James Flakes, Robert Hickman, Mike Lively and Pete Randolph.
