Saving daughters

No More Secrets, No More Lies II: Saving Our Daughters, with author J.L. King, will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Building of Opportunity at Beulah Grove Baptist Church, 1434 Poplar St.

Dealing with MS

Exploring MS, for families living with multiple sclerosis, will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Fort Discovery, 1 Seventh St.

Movie at library

A free public screening of the movie The Other Boleyn Girl , rated PG-13, will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the main branch of the Augusta-Richmond County Library, 902 Greene St.

Parental training

Georgia Specialized Alternative Family Environments will hold training for those interested in becoming foster parents.

The training will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Aug. 5 at Georgia SAFE, 4424 Columbia Road, Suite B, Martinez. Attendance is required at each session to receive certification.

Free health fair

A free health fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at Transformation United Methodist Church, 2428 Tobacco Road. There will be health screenings, food, school supplies and clothing.

Insurance service

An investigator from the Office of Commissioner of Insurance will be available from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, at the Augusta-Richmond County Municipal Building, 530 Greene St., Room 605. The free service is offered to meet with Georgia residents who have insurance problems or questions.

Keep a student

ASSE International Student Exchange Programs is seeking host families for foreign high school students. The students are 15 to 18 years old and are coming to the Augusta area for the upcoming semester or school year.

Volunteers needed

The United States Disaster Relief Command is looking for volunteers from the Augusta area. The organization works with the American Red Cross, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and others in disaster situations.
