WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Vera Mosley Minyard, 83, of Story Mill Road, Waynesboro, GA, entered into rest July 1, 2008 at University Hospital. A private memorial service will be held in Gulf Port, MS at a later date. She was wife of the late Erby Gray Minyard, Sr. Mrs. Minyard was a native of Carrollton, MS and had lived in the Waynesboro/Augusta area for the past 40 years. Mrs. Minyard was a member of First Baptist Church, Itta Bena, MS and attended Rosemont Heights Baptist Church, Waynesboro prior to her declining health. She enjoyed sewing, reading and social endeavors. One of her greatest pleasures was her association with the Seniors Day Out Program at Wimberly House Ministries, Inc, where she made many cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Alma Keys Mosley; two brothers, William Floyd Mosley and Thomas Sheridan Mosley. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Erby Gray "Jacky" and Nancy Minyard, Jr., Waynesboro, GA; three grandchildren, Alicen Keys Minyard, Waynesboro, David Wayne Minyard, Gulf Port, MS and Charles Heath Ruffner (Christy), Cheraw, SC; a great-grandchild, Charles Heath Ruffner, Jr.; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
