The native Augustan and part-owner of the family business, Sunbelt Nissan, is also the co-founder of Gallery on the Row, 1016 Broad St.

BACKGROUND: Mrs. Warren studied at the University of South Carolina and the Gertrude Herbert Art Institute. She is a registered nurse and has worked for University and Doctors hospitals.

ON ART: Mrs. Warren has been painting for years, regularly using watercolors, acrylics and oils.

"I can't remember not painting," she said. "I was always designing or working with fabrics, acrylics, and oils early on."

She enjoys doing commission work, especially the sentimental side of the work.

"Maybe someone bought a picture of a hydrangea because it was their grandmother's favorite flower," she said. "That is a joy for me to know that when they see that in their home they remember something special."
