HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mrs. Mariah F. Custard of Sylvania Court, North, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 1, 2008. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at Jenkins Memorial C.M.E. Church with Rev. Timothy Green officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. Mrs. Custard was a native of Uniontown, Ala., and had lived in Augusta over ten years. Survivors are four daughters, Lizzie Ree Fikes, Forrestville, Md., Carrie (Roosevelt) Lovett, Hephzibah, Ga., Georgia Custard Davis, San Leandro, Calif., Jacqueline C. Custard, Castro Valley, Calif.; five sons, Arthur (Minnie Bell) Fikes, William (Joyce) Custard, Uniontown, Ala., Roger (Carolyn) Custard, Woodbridge, Va., Jimmie (Eunita) Fikes, Mobile, Ala., James E. (Chalnita) Custard, Fort Wayne, Ind.; siblings, Minnie (Craig) Meyers, James (Ethel) Fikes, Julious Fikes, Joann (Tom) Thomas, Virginia Fikes, Ella Ree Fikes, Frankie Fikes, Uniontown, Ala.; daughter-in-law, Martha Fikes, Fort Wayne, Ind.; twenty nine grandchildren; thirty one great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives. White Funeral Home, 101 Lucian Street, Uniontown, AL, in charge of funeral services on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. A.D. Smith officiating.
