AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Irvin Lee 'I.L.' Coker, 82, husband of Louise Coker, of Avery Dr, entered into rest Monday, June 30, 2008, at Heartland Hospice. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Home, Thursday, July 3, at 1:00 PM, with the Reverends Joel Hawkins and Chester Coker officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Coker, son of the late Mauldie Crawford and Katie Brumlow Coker, was a native of Moultrie, Georgia but had lived in the Augusta area since 1953. He was an engineer with E.I. Dupont and a member of Southgate Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. Coker is survived by sons and daughters in law, Rene Lee and Penny Coker, Augusta, Carl and Veronique Coker, Atlanta, and Chester and Susan Coker, Evans; daughters Gloria Kincaid and Cathy Coker, both of Augusta; brothers Bobby Coker, Center Hill, FL, Frank Coker, Cross City, FL, and Rev. Chester Coker, Leesburg, FL; sisters June Franklin, Linden, FL, and Katie Laub, Allentown, PA; grandchildren, Courtney Coker, Brittany Coker, Stephanie Maciaszek, Eric Coker, Shaun Russell, Lauren Turner, Beverly Howell, and Glenn Howell; great grand children, Isabella Maciaszek, Landon Taylor Maciaszek, Dillion Howell, Megan Howell, and Cameron Marie Russell. Pallbearers will be Bo Connelly, Eric Coker, Larry Howell, Glenn Howell, Shaun Russell, Chris Maciaszek, and Duane Franklin.
