AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Mary G. McCurdy, beloved wife of James F. McCurdy, entered into rest Tuesday, July 01, 2008 at Doctors Hospital. The funeral mass will be held at St. Mary On The Hill Catholic Church, Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Gerald Ragan officiating. Mrs. McCurdy was a member of the Third Order of Saint Francis, the Legion of Mary, the League of Catholic Women in Detroit, Michigan, a volunteer at Children's Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and made visits to the sick at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include husband James F. McCurdy, Augusta, Four sons, James John McCurdy, Milford, MI, Michael B. McCurdy, Coppell, TX, Francis Raymond McCurdy, West Bloomfield, MI, David P. McCurdy, Dallas, TX. Four daughters, Sharon Newton, Augusta, Mrs. Kathleen Cox, Augusta, Mrs. Mary Frances Koepke, Saginaw, MI, Mrs. Peggy Pievach, Pittsburgh, PA.; One sister, Mrs. Donn Hobbs, Naples, FL; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The Vigil for the deceased will be held Wednesday evening, July 2, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. The Rite of Committal will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan under the direction of Pixley Funeral Home, Keego Harbor, Michigan.
