AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Thursday, June 26, 2008, at the residence of her daughter, Janet A. Ellsworth, Mrs. Edith M. White, 99, wife of the late Winfield S. White. Mrs. White was a native of Portland, Maine and had resided in Augusta for the past 15 years. She was a homemaker, member of First Congregational Church of South Portland, ME and loved to garden and knit. Family members include her daughters: Janet A. Ellsworth of Augusta, Ruth E. Dobson of Concord, NH; sons: John C. White of Oxford, ME, Robert D. White of Norway, ME and 21 grandchildren. Mrs. White was preceded in death by her sons: Kenneth W. White and Richard E. White. Graveside services will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery in Falmouth, ME .
