A man riding a Jet Ski was airlifted to Medical College of Georgia Hospital on Saturday after falling off and injuring his head at Wildwood Park, a Columbia County Sheriff's Office dispatcher said.

Joel David McClennen, 21, of Fort Mill, S.C., was hurt shortly before 3 p.m. He had three cuts to the head, said Robin Hill, a spokeswoman for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

Ms. Hill said she was not aware of what caused the accident.

He was in fair condition Saturday night, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Police continue hunt for suspect in rape

Police continued to search Saturday for an Augusta man accused of raping and stabbing a woman early Friday.

Anthony Holden, 44, is wanted on charges of aggravated assault, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.

Richmond County sheriff's Sgt. Richard Roundtree said Mr. Holden has family in Newberry, S.C. He said Mr. Holden didn't come to work Saturday as scheduled at the Partridge Inn, where he is a longtime employee.

Mr. Holden is accused of pouring boiling water on a woman at an Ellis Street apartment, tying her up, raping her and stabbing her. The victim, who suffered second-degree burns and several cuts, remained at Medical College of Georgia Hospital in stable condition Saturday.

FallingLeaves

I've been trying to get to see that Memorial Wall. Hope I didn't miss it. It took me forever to find Across the Area today. Had similar problems with Rants and Raves. They both keep going back to June 15, instead of today's date.

FallingLeaves

Seems as if nobody has been able to find this today. Not surprised.
