AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Rhayford Meyer, of Augusta, entered into rest Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Medical College of Georgia. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rickey Dent officiating. Burial will be in Walker Memorial Park. He was a native of Meyer Mill, S.C., a United States Army veteran, and was retired from Castleberry Foods. Survivors are his wife, Helen Meyer, Detroit, Mich.; three daughters, Elizabeth (Charles) Ussery, Sucie Hart, Detroit, Mich., Dorothy Brown, Newark, N.J.; one son, Rhayford (Annie) Meyer, Detroit, Mich.; one brother, Arthur Meyer, Washington, D.C.; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; devoted niece, Shirley Blocker; a host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
