SARDIS, Ga. - Mrs. Sybil Ann Bell Clayton, age 74, entered into eternal rest on June 21, 2008. Mrs. Clayton is survived by her loving husband of forty-three years, Mr. Joseph Richard Clayton. Mrs. Clayton was born in Jenkins County, GA, the daughter of the late Clyde Veal Bell and Duke Morgan Bell. Mrs. Clayton had worked for many years as a bus driver with the Burke County Board of Education until her retirement. Funeral services for Mrs. Clayton will be conducted on Tuesday, June 23, 2008 at the Sardis Baptist Church, 1120 Pine St., Sardis, GA with Rev. Ken Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Clayton is additionally survived one son and his wife, Kenneth and Sandra Miller, Sr., Jackson, SC, two daughters, Debbie Miller and her fiance Bill Newsome, Augusta, GA, Elaine Gregory, Sardis, GA, her dear sister Frances Economos, Beech Island, SC, two granddaughters, Kendra Miller and Misty Reynolds, four grandsons, Matthew Gregory, Michael Reynolds, Kenneth Miller, Jr. and Dylan Miller, and many loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Clayton was preceded in death by three brothers, Hardy John Bell, Paul Bell and Arnold Bell. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, June 23, 2008 from 6-8 PM at Robertson's Heritage Chapel, 220 East 6th St., Waynesboro, GA.
