MARTINEZ, Ga. - Mr. Raymond Graves, Sr., entered into rest Friday, June 20, 2008, in Doctors Hospital. The husband of the late Mrs. Peggy Utley Graves, Mr. Graves was also preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Raye Graves Carroll. Family members are three sons, Raymond Graves, Jr., James Lee Graves, and Richard Alan Graves, all of Martinez, Ga.; one daughter, Sandra Marie Graves, Martinez, Ga.; one brother, Glendon Graves, Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Pearl Graves, Russellville, Ark.; eleven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Mr. Graves was born in Delaware, Ark., retired from the U.S. Army after twenty-five years of service, a member of the Church of Christ; he gave his life to Christ shortly before his death, member of American Legion Post 63 and Post 192. He loved hunting and all sports. He was a fantastic father and grandfather. He loved life. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lane Lowery and Rev. Dave Dillard officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. Mr. Graves will be conveyed to Sunny Lane Funeral Home, Del City, Okla., for funeral services and interment. Thomas L.
