AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Ricky Gene Perkins, 47, of Sadie Dr., entered into rest Saturday, June 21, 2008, at University Hospital. Memorial services will be held from Harlem United Methodist Church Tuesday, June 24, at 5:00 PM, with the Reverend Roger Vest officiating. Mr. Perkins was a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado but had lived in the Augusta area for most of his life. He worked in construction. He is survived by daughters and son in law Ryan and Matthew Hewett, Evans, Chasity Perkins, Evans, Brandy Perkins, Harlem; brother, Randy Perkins, North Augusta; sisters, Tina Owens, Columbus, GA, Billie Joe Brown, Grovetown, and Wanda Knowles, Augusta; and additional survivor Reva Farley, Augusta. The family will receive friends after the service. A Memorial Walk will be held Saturday, June 28th, at 8:00 AM at the Julian Smith Casino.
