AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Stephen Christopher Robinson of Atlanta died Thursday, June 19, 2008. He was born January 17, 1959 in Albany, Georgia to Ralph Eugene Robinson and Margaret Rose Johns Robinson. He graduated from Albany High School in 1977. Mr. Robinson graduated from the University of Georgia in 1981, where he was in the Army ROTC and continued to serve his country in the U. S. Army. He received his master's degree from the University of Colorado. Mr. Robinson was employed by Mitre Corporation as advisor of communications. He was a Boy Scout Leader, loved camping, racing and animals. He is survived by his wife, Karen Getter Robinson; children, Amy Robinson and her husband 2nd Lt. Glenn Walton of Hawaii, 2nd Lt. Philip Robinson of Atlanta; parents, Ralph and Margaret Robinson of Surfside Beach, SC; mother and father-in-law, Dr. Lee Getter and Ena Getter of Augusta, GA; sister, Cindy Robinson of Warrenton, VA, grandmother, Edna Johns Adams of Albany, GA; aunt, Nancy Axtel of Greenville, PA and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 21st at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Atlanta, 1244 Park Vista Dr., Atlanta, GA 30319. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
