Edward Reddick (SYLVANIA, Ga.)

SYLVANIA, Ga. - Elton Edward Reddick, Sr., age 78, died Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. He was a native of Screven County and a member of Sylvania First Baptist Church. He was a retired from the Savannah River Site where he was an operator and was an Army Veteran that served during the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the Sylvania/Screven County Marine Rescue Squadron. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Roney Watson and Eugenia Oliver Reddick. Survivors: Wife: Daphine Anderson Reddick of Sylvania; Sons and Daughter-In-Law: Eddie and Judy Reddick and Alan A. Reddick, all of Sylvania; Sister: Shirley R. Finch of Sylvania; Brothers: Hayman L. Reddick of Millen, Rogers P. Reddick of Savannah and Bobby G. Reddick of Rincon; Grandchildren: Jenny R. (Justin) Janney of Statesboro, Audrey Anne Reddick of Moultrie and Dusty E. Reddick of Statesboro; Several Nieces and Nephews. Visitation: Saturday, June 21, 2008, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services: Sunday, June 22, 2008, 3:00 PM, at Sylvania First Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Norris and Dr. Lamar Holley officiating. Burial at Screven County Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers: Ronnie Hill, Bill Jeffers, Don Glisson, Dr. Gerald Finch, Pete Stafford and Fred Jenkins, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers: Savannah River Site Retirees, Bud Odom, William Brannen, Andy Heath and Donnie Pope.
