Beulah Downs Poole (MITCHELL, Ga.)

MITCHELL, Ga. - Mrs. Beulah Downs Poole , age 80, wife of the late Mr. James Arthur Poole of 5 pts. - Jewell Road, died Thursday June 19, 2008 at the Warrenton Health & Rehabilitation Center. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Sunday, June 22, 2008 at the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Tony Key and Len Woodard officiating. Mrs. Poole, a native and lifelong resident of Warren County was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. A. T. Downs, Sr. She was retired from the Thomson Company as a supervisor in the payroll department. Mrs. Poole was a life long member of Mill Creek Baptist Church, a member and former teacher of the Adult Women's Sunday School Class, and the W.M.U. She was a graduate and Valedictorian of the class of 1944 at Warrenton High School. Survivors include Two Daughters, June (Mike) Chester, Macon, GA, Martha (Ralph) Mauldin, Warrenton, GA; Four grandchildren, Ralph (Tammy) Mauldin, III, Marc (Michelle) Mauldin, Bill (Cristy) Chester, and Michelle (Chris) McDermott; Six Great grandchildren, Laura, Lee, Erica, Michael, Macie, and Makenzie. A sister, Huron T. Downs, and a brother, Alvin T. Downs, Jr., preceded Mrs. Poole in death. Pallbearers will be Ralph Mauldin, III, Marc Mauldin, Chris McDermott, Lee Mauldin, John Downs, and Arthur Downs. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Adult Women's Sunday School Class. Friends may call at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Mauldin, 629 Mauldin Road, Warrenton, GA 30828. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
