Republican candidates for Georgia's 10th Congressional District will square off in a debate this evening in Evans.
The debate, sponsored by the Columbia County Republican Party, will feature Rep. Paul Broun, R-Athens, and state Rep. Barry Fleming, R-Harlem. The debate begins at 5 p.m. in the Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center at the Columbia County Library, 7022 Evans Town Center Blvd. Democratic challenger Bobby Saxon will not participate.
Dr. Broun and Mr. Fleming have debated in other Georgia cities. This is the second debate between the two in the Augusta area before the July 15 primary.
