Why is our governor visiting this group?

  • Follow Letters

Recently in Chantilly, Va., there was a meeting taking place by a group known as the Bilderberg Group. This is a group of men and women from around the world considered the world's "elite." The list of names is to numerous to mention here. The regulars include Henry Kissinger and David Rockefeller.

This group meets in secret every year in different countries. It is speculated that global issues are discussed and mapped out in these meetings much like a game of chess.

Some of the names on the list are intriguing. Some of the well-known names include:

- Ben Bernanke -- chairman, Board of Governors, Federal Reserve System;

- Condoleeza Rice -- U.S. secretary of state;

l James A. Johnson -- tasked with choosing U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's running mate;

- Paul Wolfowitz -- with the Institute for Public Policy Research.

The one name that stands out in my opinion this year is South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford. Why is our governor meeting with this group? If the group's motives are what many speculate, then what role does Gov. Sanford's attendance play? This meeting is by invitation only, so why was he invited?

Many people worldwide are disturbed by these meetings and demand to know the truth behind them. Since the group's motives are so questionable, I feel our governor should explain his attendance to those who may also find it a reason for concern.

The public only knows what the media tell them, and the media will not publish a story about Gov. Sanford's visit. With a group as shrouded in secrecy as this group, it is the voters right to know.

Rick James, Wagener, S.C.

he's right - if public funds

he's right - if public funds were used for this meeting, the public has a right to know,,, if private funding was the source, i suspect the governor's security was drawn from sc state trooper / police ranks,,, in any event, attendance was poor judgment,,, remember hillary's private healthcare conferences ???

If this is a secret

If this is a secret organization, how does Mr James know so much about it? I would like to know his source. It sounds like the 3 AM radio propaganda broadcasts. I have a friend, in his 70's who calls everyday to tell me all the doom and gloom that he heard in the middle of the night. He is addicted to that trash and actually believes most of what he hears.

I have heard about this

I have heard about this supposed group, but it sounds like mostly paranoid people talk it up. If Mark Sanchez was invited it does not sound so elite.

You can find a list of

You can find a list of attendees for the Bilderberg meeting as well as the TriLateral Commission on line. Paranoia is the "imagined ploting" against one. Anyone who does not believe that "super wealthy powerful people" meet, plan, divide up the world, marry each other, etc., has never read world history. Controlling wealth, world domination, is the name of the game. "Would you like to play?"

I thought the letter write

I thought the letter write said everything is secret...
They meet "in secret" every year and yet you can look it up on-line. (I know you can, this is old news and I looked it up some time ago, I am just wondering why he used the word secret which would indicate that something sinister is taking place.)

dani, there is a shawdow

dani, there is a shawdow gov't in this country that lurks behind the scenes.people like kissinger,and especially the rockefellers are the main culprits.they want sandford because he likes to invest state money instead of helping any of our poor citizens.they want that money to make money for themselves.there are plenty of secret meeting places such as the bohemian club in california.there ultra rich,fat,disgusting,bald, white men go and let their hair down and enjoy the company of young boys.even nixon said it was disgusting,and never returned.

Well, it's a well known fact,

Well, it's a well known fact, Sonny Jim, that there's a secret society of the five wealthiest people in the world, known as The Pentavirate, who run everything in the world, including the newspapers, and meet tri-annually at a secret country mansion in Colorado, known as The Meadows. The Queen, The Vatican, The Gettys, The Rothschilds, *and* Colonel Sanders before he went teats up. Oh, I hated the Colonel with is wee *beady* eyes, and that smug look on his face. "Oh, you're gonna buy my chicken! Ohhhhh!"
