NICHOLSON, Ga. - Dr. William Hains Fletcher, age 85, of 343 Fletcher Drive, Nicholson, GA, passed away on June 13th, 2008 in his home of natural causes. He is survived by his children, Carol Abersoll, William Fletcher, Connie Over, and Dorothy Edwards; his grandchildren, Donna Ledford, Jennifer Davis, and Benjamin Edwards; and six great- grandchildren. Dr. Fletcher served his country in WWII as a bomber pilot in the US Air Force and as a POW for 15 months. Afterwards, he graduated from the UGA Veterinary School and practiced veterinary medicine for over 50 years. A memorial service was held June 14th at 1pm at Emmanuel Church in Athens, GA.
