- Ed Templeton , president of SRP Federal Credit Union, has been elected secretary for the National Association of Federal Credit Unions for the 2008-2009 term. Mr. Templeton will take the executive committee position at the close of the association's annual business meeting and conference to in July.

- Janelle Taylor has received the Romance Pioneer award from Romantic Times magazine at its international writers convention in Pittsburgh for her achievements as a romance novelist since 1981.

- Dr. Robert W. Klemm , a business advisor in Evans, has been accredited by the Institute for Independent Business for his experience as a senior executive with manufacturing and health care companies.

- Adam C. Harris , vice president of Queensborough National Bank & Trust, has completed the three-year program at the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
