FAIRFAX, S.C. - Mr. Malcolm E. Brunson, Jr. passed away Saturday evening in Savannah after an extended illness. He was 74. Mr. Brunson was born May 5, 1935 in Brunson, the son of the late Malcolm Brunson, Sr. and Nettie Morris Manges and step-mother Elizabeth Brunson. He worked maintenance for Jordin Marsh Co. and was a firefighter in the Army. Surviving is one sister, Evelyn Brunson Shipes of Savannah, Ga.; two half-sisters, Carolyn Johnson and Mary Louise Williams both of Barnwell; three half-brothers, Ed Brunson and Earl Brunson both of Hampton and Macky Brunson of Swansee. There are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. in the D.C. Memorial Chapel at Smith- Rhoden Funeral Home with burial following in the Brunson Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 9:30 till prior to the service.
