MEETS: The club meets twice a year and members can attend up to five parties a year. Contact club President Buddy Keip at (706)-860-0287 or visit www.csrashag.com.

MEMBERSHIP: It has 430 members. Dues are $30 a year and include admission to five parties. Interested parties must get a current member to co-sign their membership application.

MISSION: The CSRA Shag Club is an association of people who like to dance the state dance of South Carolina, the shag. It provides parties and other activities to preserve the dance.

QUOTE: "If you were going to join the club right now, we'll make sure that you feel comfortable doing the dance. If you don't, we'll introduce you to different teachers. Also, you should have some interest in helping with different kinds of events in the community," Mr. Keip said.
