AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Florine Bentley Martin, 81, a resident of St. John Towers at 724 Greene St., entered into rest on Monday, June 9, 2008 at University Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Rees Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Davis officiating. Entombment will be at Arlington Memorial Park in Atlanta. Serving as pallbearers will be George Wilson Bentley, Jr., Dewey Clyde Bentley, Timothy Martin Bentley, Mike Anderson, Sr., Mike Anderson, Jr., Andy Bentley, David Dean Bentley, Joshua Clyde Bentley, Bill Martin, Jr. Richard Martin and Trey Barger. Mrs. Martin was the daughter of the late Clyde C. Bentley and Agnes Thompson Bentley. She was a graduate of Washington High School in Washington, Ga. and Southern Business University in Atlanta. Mrs. Martin was a member of Peachtree Road Methodist Church in Atlanta, Atlanta Women's Club, Nancy Creek Garden Club, Chaperette Fashion Club, Atlanta Athletic Club, Atlanta Art Museum, Atlanta Symphony and Atlanta Humane Society. Survivors include a brother, David A. Bentley of Belvedere, S.C.; stepson, William H. Martin and wife, Elizabeth; two grandsons; five great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews from Atlanta, Augusta and Union Point, Ga.
