BRUNSWICK, Ga. - Evie Ann Sorrow, 78, of Brunswick, died Saturday at Gracemore Nursing Home. She was director of the Glynn County Unit of the American Cancer Society for 25 years. She was also a member of Northside Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class. She was a lover of cats and enjoyed working in her yards and flower beds and helping anyone who had a need. She was born and raised in Madison County and Pocataligo, Ga. and was the valedictorian graduate from the ILA High School in Ila, Ga. Surviving are a son, Gregory S. Sorrow of Brunswick; and a daughter, Rebecca C. Wahl of Augusta, Ga. Memorial services to be held Saturday, June 14th at 1:30 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church. Rev. Stanley Luke to officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are requested be sent to Gracemore Nursing Home Resident's Fund, 2708 Lee Street, Brunswick, GA 31520.
