MARTINEZ, Ga. - Mrs. Margaret Greer Thigpen, 77, beloved wife of Thomas Thigpen entered into rest on Saturday June 7, 2008 at her residence. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday June 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Michael Davenport and Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Mrs. Thigpen was a devoted Christian lady and active member of Pineview Baptist Church. She was the Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign War, Post 3200 and also Past President of the MOCA Pup Tent #3 Auxiliary. Mrs. Thigpen will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Thigpen is survived by her son; Michael Thigpen, her two daughters; Linda Thigpen Lee and husband Edward and Margaret Thigpen Wood, her brother; Ben Greer and wife Patricia of Easley, SC, her grandchildren; Thomas R. Thigpen, Jr. and wife Ashley, Christopher David Wood, Tammy Thomas and husband Robbie, Christen Greenway and husband Jeff, and Adarian Thigpen, and her great-grandchildren; Madison Thomas, Morgan Thomas, Jeffery Greenway, III, Aughtum Lee Greenway, and McKenzie Greenway. Mrs. Thigpen was preceded in death by her son, Master Sergeant Thomas R. Thigpen. If so desired memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society 2623 Washington Rd.
