Thief is welcome to come to church
Letter to the Editor
Tuesday, June 10, 2008

Sometime Friday morning someone stole my Lowrance 520c color Fish-finder and GPS, and Uniden VHF radio.

My church, Pine Hill Baptist in Hephzibah, was getting ready for our Father and Son Wild Game Supper, so I wanted to help some youth catch fish for this event.

Loading the boat Friday morning, we discovered the theft. This boat is a part of my ministry, as I take youth and seniors fishing.

I will use this time to teach our youth that material items should not dictate how much joy we have. They will see that while we may be disappointed we do not have to be in a foul mood.

God is still awesome, and you can't take that from us.

And hey, whoever stole it obviously needs Jesus to change his life, so come on to my church and let us help.

The Rev. Dwayne Carter,

Minister of Youth

Pine Hill Baptist Church

Hephzibah
