Once again letter writer Joseph Diggs Sr. attempts to explain someone else's words, in this case the words of St. Obama's wife ("Put Mrs. Obama's comment in context," May 23).
The last time he publicly attempted to explain someone else's words, they were mine -- after I had the audacity to criticize Hanoi John Kerry's war record in a letter to the editor.
In an April 7, 2004, letter, he wrote in reference to my letter, "I concluded the author was a very unpatriotic person."
Given how far amiss he was in that conclusion, I'll use my own judgment as to what the Harvard-educated Mrs. Obama's words mean.

In this country of mainly white people (somewhere between 75-80% of the citizens) I don't see it as politically sound to alienate such a large segment of voters. Repeating the words that Michelle Obama used is not demonizing her, it is being critical of one who dislikes us so much.

This is the mark of an individual who feels inferior to others, so he makes excuses for his failures. The easiest mark are those who are different from him because he feels cheated by them. Any person who speaks as he does is obvioulsy compensating for some very serious issues of inferiority. He was probably the kid who never got picked to play sports, or who was chastised as a "mama's boy."
