HOMETOWN: Augusta

PLAYS WITH: Ship of Fools

PLAYS: Suzuki and Bushman harmonicas

DAY JOB: Teacher at Stevens Creek Elementary School and soccer coach at Lakeside High School, Evans

WHY HE PLAYS HARMONICA: "I picked it up as a stress relief kind of thing. ... I've always liked blues and gospel music; and once I learned how to bend notes, I got really addicted to it."

FAVORITE TV SHOW: The Fox Soccer Report

FAVORITE SHOW: With Mike Stewart and Archie Jordan at Rose Hill Estate, Aiken, 2007. "That was a great time, because those two guys are both pretty much legends in Aiken and in Nashville, and I was the only other musician on stage with them, so I was flattered that they asked me to play with them."

IF HE COULD PERFORM WITH ANYONE: Stevie Ray Vaughan

SONGWRITING PROCESS: " I normally will come up with the lyrics first ... I write a lot about relationships and about spiritual things; we do a lot of gospel music too ... and I'll get the tune in my head, and I'll try to work out the basic chords with the harmonica, and then I'll get one of my guitar players to help me put it all down."

FAVORITE FOOD: Pizza

WORST SHOW: With Cat Beast at a Halloween toga party in 2005: "They got drunk and the togas started falling off. It just got a little out of hand. People started grabbing the microphones and trying to play karaoke while we were playing."

FAVORITE MOVIE: Cool Hand Luke

NEXT GIG: Mr. Morgan will perform on the acoustic stage at the Eryn Eubanks & the Family Fold Old-time Music Festival on Saturday, June 14, at Lynndale Inc., 1490 Eisenhower Drive.
