LINCOLNTON, Ga. - Mrs. Ruth Jones of White Rock Rd. entered into rest Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2008 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis J. Quinn officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Jones was a native of Lincoln County and a member of True Fellowship Pentecostal Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, church worker and friend to all. Survivors include her husband, Willie Jones, Hephzibah; three sons, Willie James Jones (Lucinda), Enfield, N.C., John Henry Jones, McCormick, S.C. and Bernard Lee Jones (Carolyn), Augusta; two daughters, Ella Ruth Norman, Lincolnton and Mary Jones Rivers (William), Eutawville, S.C.; four brothers, Bishop James Ware (Evangelist Flora), Evans, Henry Ware (Lillie), Lincolnton, Willie Joe Ware, Anderson, S.C. and Charlie Ware, Newark, N.J.; three sisters, Evangelist Mattie Thomas and Elizabeth Thompson (Otis), all of Lincolnton, and Dora Lee Lewis (James), Leesburg, Ga.; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
