NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Entered into rest at Trinity Hospice May 27, 2008, Mr. Jim Simpkins of Todd Ave., North Augusta, beloved husband of Mrs. Alma B. Simpkins. He was also a dedicated father to his son, Quinton O. Simpkins; survived by a brother, Mr. Andrew Simpkins; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Riley and Mrs. Marie (Boston) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Quennie B. Childs and Mrs. Angie O'Bryant; two brothers-in-law, Vernon L. Beard, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Mr. Joe D. Beard; adopted son, Mr. Jeffrey Palmer; adopted brother, Mr. Warren Larry, and a host of nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2008 at 3 p.m. from Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Jackson, S.C. with Rev. Roundtree officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
