NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Raymond Bloomer, 90, of Woodlawn Avenue, entered into rest Monday, May 26, 2008 at Heartland Hospice. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Rowland Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gene Long officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memorial Park. Mr. Bloomer was born in Bentonville, Ark., having made North Augusta his home. He attended Govan Baptist Church in Govan, S.C. for many years and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Mr. Bloomer was a five year U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II and received medals and badges, a member of the Augusta Bowling Association and owner of Rayco Electronics of North Augusta. Survivors include his wife, Olivia P. Bloomer; a son, Anthony Raymond Bloomer (CynthiaAnne); a daughter, Betsy R. Bloomer, North Augusta; four step-children, Barbara C. Sanford (Neal), Russell A. Cook (Phyllis), Charles O. Cook (Sharon), Julia C. Harper (Carson); three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepson, the late William C. Cook. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Govan, Hwy 321, Govan, SC 29843.
