AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Monday, May 26, 2008 at her home, Chiyo T. Pickett, 79, wife of the late William "Bill" A. Pickett. Mrs. Pickett was a native of Sapparo, Hokkaido, Japan. She was a homemaker, mother and member of Southside Baptist Church. Family members include her children, Carol and Paul Hammac, Barbara Boynton, Mary Pickett; brothers and sister, Hiroshi Tachibana, Shigeru Tachibana, Utaka Tachibana, Michico, all of Japan; grandchildren, DeeDee Henry Rhodes (Robert), William Hammac (Lee Ann), Christie Boynton, Charles Brian Lowe; and great- grandchildren, Tabitha Rhodes, Elesse Williamson, Cody Henry, Abigail Rhodes and Anthony Hammac. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Jerry Owens officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
