Survivors are one son, Darren M. Short, Columbus, Ga.; mother, Louise Short, Augusta; three brothers, T. L. Short, Jr., Phillip Short, Cheraw, S.C., and Jerome Short, Augusta; cousin, Sabrina Drumgoole, Augusta; devoted friend, Mitchell Harris, Augusta; other relatives and friends.
