MOUNTVILLE, S.C. - Glenda Gail Starnes Griffin, 49, of 2436 Beaverdam Church Road, widow of Larry Griffin, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2008 at her home. Born in Laurens, she was the daughter of William Martin Starnes and wife, Mildred, of Mountville and the late Georgie Peskpos Starnes. She attended Rosemont Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Surviving, in addition to her father and step mother, is one daughter, Charlene Farr of Laurens; one son, Rodger Woods, Jr. of Harlem, Ga.; two brothers, Randall Starnes of Waterloo and Ray A. Starnes of Gray Court; three sisters, Carolyn Prozzo of Tenn., Tina Motes of Clinton, and Dale Griffin of Laurens; one step brother, Heath Calvert of Mountville; two step sisters, Mary McCullum and Melissa Briggs both of Greenwood; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Michael Starnes. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Rosemont Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Sam N. Thomason.
