AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. David Jones, 70, of Shirley Avenue, entered into rest May 26, 2008 at the Medical College of Georgia. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Mr. Jones, a native of Edgefield County, was a member and deacon of Science Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lillie Hartfield Jones; a daughter, Aleathea (Jessie) Wise, Augusta; adopted son, Bernard Smith, Augusta; a brother, Jack (Elizabeth) Jones, Augusta; two sisters, Rosa L. Jones and Matilda Jones, North Augusta; sister-in-law, Fannie (Willie) Flournoy, Augusta; brother- in-law, John W. (Mattie) Hartfield, Martinez; devoted niece, Mozell Stalworth, North Augusta.
