National Emergency Medical Services Week was May 19-24, and in Richmond County we would like to publicly thank all the businesses that helped make this week a memorable one. Richmond County's fire department and sheriffs office: Thank you for helping us do our jobs, and making it safer and easier.
Richmond County EMS responded last year to 27,000 calls with 10 units, 24 hours a day seven days a week. Calls including motor Vehicle accidents, industrial accidents, heart attacks, strokes, back pain, seizures, domestic violence, crimes of violence and minor incidents. The EMS system is a vital part of our society.
