Witherspoon is a genuine conservative

The conservative Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in South Carolina, Dr. Buddy Witherspoon, has been a longtime Republican Party activist.

Most importantly, he served as the South Carolina committeeman to the Republican National Committee from 1996 to 2008. In this role, Witherspoon proved his commitment to conservative principles above blind loyalty to the party establishment. He fought hard to keep the GOP true to its conservative principles on issues such as abortion, illegal immigration, limited government, the sanctity of marriage, the death tax and national sovereignty.

As a candidate for the U.S. Senate, Witherspoon continues to run on a consistently conservative platform. As our next senator, he will stand tall for conservative values, whether or not he's in the majority on a given issue or bravely defending principles as a minority of one. He's never had a problem with saying "no" to liberal special interests.

Unlike incumbent Sen. Lindsey Graham, Witherspoon thinks that representing South Carolinians is more important than being friends and allies with the likes of Sens. Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy. Remember, Graham once called Clinton "a smart, prepared, serious senator" and praised Kennedy as "one of the most principled men I've ever met." Witherspoon will never be a toady such odious liberals!

Republicans have a choice June 10. They either can back an incumbent senator who's most comfortable standing with liberals, or they can vote for the real conservative: Dr. Buddy Witherspoon.

Why would anyone vote for a Republican after this eight year debacle?
