MARTINEZ, Ga. - Ms. Judy Ann Lops, 50, entered into rest Monday, May 19, 2008. Ms. Lops was a native of Oroville, Ca. and spent much of her youth growing up in Germany. She was a veteran of the US Army and the Air Force Reserves as well as a retired Homeland Security Officer. She was passionate about her job. Judy loved life and family and was devoted to animals. Family members include her mother, Anne Eckerson-Harrington, and her husband, Wayne Harrington of Augusta; father, Michael Frederick Lops and his wife, Eileen and son, John of Brooklyn NY; sister, Carmen Bailey and her husband, Bill of McClean, Va.; brother, Michael Lops and his wife, Lisa of North Augusta; 4 nieces; 1 nephew; aunts; uncles; cousins and her dog, Zeus, who she loved dearly. She also leaves behind many friends around the world. All the support given by her co-workers at Homeland Security during her lengthy illness was greatly appreciated. A special thank you to Dr. Ghamande and Dr. MacFee and their wonderful staff. Also, many thanks to everyone in the Cancer support group which meant so much to Judy. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Father Brain LaBurt officiating. Viewing and visitation will be from 1-3 PM prior to the service. Interment with Military Honors will follow in St. Augustine, Fl. Friday, May 23, 2008, 2:00 PM.
