ATLANTA, Ga. - Charles W. Robey, Jr., 85, entered into rest Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA. He was raised in Sardis, GA and lived the last 45 years of his life in Atlanta, GA. He served 25 years in the United States Army where he retired as a sergeant and Military Police. Mr. Robey served during World War II and The Korean Conflict. His family members include his sister, Joyce Georges of Savannah; his nephews, Terrence Georges and Duane Georges, both of Atlanta; and his niece, Melissa Georges of New York, NY. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 23, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark Cemetery, Sardis, GA, with full military honors.
